This is my favorite picture of Jack. He's on top of Half Dome, which he hiked with his thesis advisor Dr. Steigerwald. I like to imagine that he's up there thinking, "Wow. What an amazing view...If only my beautiful wife Katie were here to share it with." But I know it's more like, "Wow. 9,000 feet and I didn't throw up once."
